A band that has been around for many years, these guys are still keeping the punk rock in the Oshawa/Whitby area (along with the band Caution Inc). The band has gone through another change of members with a new guitarist. I was never a fan of the band but after watching their set I was fairly interested in the band and their new songs. They will be releasing a new album very soon independently which I will be excited to check out.

BLACK CAT ATTACK
Another band from the area, Black Cat Attack brings on their rockabilly style to the stage. First thing I noticed when they hit the stage was that they had a member from an old local punk band called Princess Riot so I was interested in what she had to bring to the table since another member of Princess Riot started another band called Mary And The Black Lambs which are more gothic. But onwards to Black Cat Attack, who sounded a lot like The Creepshow. They put on a good show with high energy from their guitarist and great vocal parts by both ladies.

A couple of bastards from Woodbridge, these guys played their first Whitby show. There was a lot of energy from the band with lots of shouting’s from their bass player. The singer/guitarist kept breaking strings on his guitar from the energy he was putting into playing the set. Overall the crowd reception wasn’t too great for these guys but hopefully they will be back soon and make some more fans. Their new CD Emericans is good.

They are back and did they rock. Playing a bunch of their songs from Lets Start A Riot and Living, these guys had the whole crowd energized and singing along. They played a new song that they are planning to record for their first full length which I cannot wait for. After The Artist Life performed everyone became tired from singing along and clapping.

The last band to perform for the night, The Snips (formerly known as The Ceremonial Snips) came on stage and performed their ska styled punk music. They were a fun band to watch bringing a whole different sound to the stage compared to the other bands. Hopefully they will be back again soon.
