Trivium - Shogun

So this album is pretty much the best thing that Trivium has ever done. It blends the elements of the first 3 albums together summing up what Trivium is all about. As I sit listening to the other 3 albums I can see areas of the songs that they kept and evolved onto Shogun giving more meaning to the albums. There is a maturity factor also that can be seen on this album along with the essence of the Japanese culture which can be heard in the music and seen in the album art, and also in the names of the songs. There is a special edition with 3 extra tracks with the last one being a cover of Iron Maiden by the band with the same name.

Along with being a great heavy metal record, the guitarists stepped up there game playing 7 string guitars, now that is totally rad. If you ever want to listen to a great heavy metal record check out the Trivium record. It is honestly there best work they have ever done, and as a person who was never big on Trivium in the past, this album grabbed me by the balls from how good it was. Go check it out since they play lots of songs off this record live.
