A band that plays numerous amounts of shows across South Eastern Ontario, Odium was the first of many bands to play in Toronto. The set felt pretty long, dragging out from the band not taking breaks in between songs. After about 3 songs everything started to sound the same. Also the guy at the soundboard did a poor job making the drums drown out the rest of the instruments. The band has great music off their album ‘At The Bottom’ but the music was poorly mixed live and they never took breaks for talking. A great band that needs to work on their live show.

Female fronted rock band from Toronto, they took the stage to show us their songs off their new EP. The bassest was the producer of their EP. A band that has written catchy music that you do not want to get in your head is how I shall sum up [MOD]ified. The guitar was very annoying and was played very sloppy.

Jägermeister, Jägermeister, Jägermeister , that’s what I got from this group. A blow up bottle of Jägermeister, So Sick sign with a Jägermeister sticker, water gun with Jägermeister on it (and I think in it, Jägermeister panties on the girl on stage, and vocalist having people chant Jägermeister, all I kept hearing about was Jägermeister for the set/this review. The band plays on a horror theme with pumpkin heads, knives, fake blood. Also they play on the ‘sex sells’ with having a masked school girl strip on stage to her Jägermeister panties. I thought they were boring but the whole venue was into them. Jägermeister Jägermeister Jägermeister Jägermeister Jägermeister Jägermeister

The CD release show for their album “Skrap-Metal” these guys came on stage being the first band with a banner. Working on bringing back the rap metal sound that we tried to hide for the past years, these guys show off their rapping metal tunes for us. Songs about being hardcore and in the pit was the subject theme of the band which was cool. The sound was a bit boring but they got a good crowd reaction. Also they gave out some free merch to the fans which was cool. To help throw their name out to everyone in the crowd that night they had about 4 girls walking around in Final Trigger panties/shirt which engraved their name in everyone mind, especially when they brought the girls on stage. Another band to do the ‘sex sells’ scheme.

Last band of the night also showing of their new album ‘Blacklisted’ they came on the stage strong showing us that real metal was still in Toronto. Playing a few tracks off their new album and a few of their older songs these guys were good live. Again the sound guy was back with this band making the drums vanquish the other instruments but not as bad as it was for Odium. They rocked the stage in a way of a true band should with their music and live performance. Also what made them look more professional was that they too had a banner up. Hopefully this new record ‘Blacklisted’ can help them go to a new level in music and gain more fans. Purchase it at a show or where sold.
