Estate Of Grace - The Contrast EP

Alright so I saw these guys open the Arise And Ruin show in Oshawa which was put on by Suicide Music! which also manages this band. The manager came up to me during the show and gave me a copy of the EP after her and me talked (aka I talked and she listened) about how the band was pretty good live but still had some work ahead of them. So now for the review of this EP.

Coming from Cobourg Ontario, these guys have definitely taken alot of influence from another band from Cobourg named These Silhouettes. Having a similar singing voice as Stuart Aiken of TS, these guys to make themselves different have adding screaming to there vocals. It reminds me of a mix between These Silhouettes and Silverstein. It is a good combination thats very catchy, especially the last 2 songs "Two Ways On A One Way Street" and :"Just Give Me Your Keys". Also its nice to see that they are not doing the whole breakdown thing that every other band which is making them distinct compared to other local bands. If anyone was to buy a EP from a band in South Eastern Ontario they should pick this one up and see them live.
