Baptized In Blood - Gutterbound

Who likes being happy and thrashing to metal music? Well if you do then I got the album for you. Baptized In Blood, a band from London Ontario took 3 years and a few line up changes to bring you Gutter Bound. Filled with tight guitar riffs, solid drumming, and clear screaming vocals, it reminded me of the band Darkest Hour but happier, as if the boys in BIB decided to write the album on the beach. I could actually see myself if I ever surfed and needed some surfing music to grab this album. Then I can feel pumped and keep the happy vibe. Also these guys may be metalcore and play with lots of ‘core’ bands, but there music rarely has any breakdowns. Lots of fast paced guitar parts which was nice to hear, especially at this time since there are lots of local acts doing the breakdowns which at shows tend to get annoying very fast. It is great to see an evolution in this band from there EP to this album. Hopefully in the near future someone picks up on this band and takes this record worldwide or at least across Canada. I am very excited this week to see them in Whitby with Kingdoms, Burning The Day and other acts.

And now they are managed by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, and now signed to Roadrunner Records releasing their self titled album.
